![]() This thread certainly does not require anyone to subsequently chime in with ignorant transphobic remarks, or complaints about "SJWs" and "ideology". Neither the question nor the developer response was anything but polite and amicable. ![]() Originally posted by Susurrus:The question was asked, and the question was answered. In any case, if that's the ONLY reason you recommend a game to them (like - "Hey, there's this horribly programmed game in a genre you don't like but you can play as a *whatever* in it."), then you really shouldn't be trying to stop them from throwing away their money on something that will ultimately be disappointing to them. The question's valid, even if the phrasing of it might seem (intentionally or not) like someone's trying to make an unnecessary stand. If you've got friends who like taking on the roll of a *insert gender type here* character, then recommending them a game based on that makes sense. We all want to do things or not do things we're tired of, and those things change pretty much all the time (unless you're somehow excessively devoted to one very specific sort of game). ![]() Like sitting down and deciding whether you feel like running and gunning, building a city, figuring out a puzzle, etc. If you're specifically looking for something in a game for the express reason of 'I want to play something like this at the moment', then it matters. ![]()
